UNIFORM POLICY
School Uniform Policy
Stephen’s Catholic School has a standard dress code for all students. Parents of students attending the school
are to make sure that their children comply with the dress code listed below.

Note: Polo and turtle neck shirts, navy and white sweatshirts, fleece jackets and vests embroidered
“St. Stephen’s” must be ordered through All Schools Uniform store, located at 7230 W. 38th Ave,
Wheat Ridge, Denver, CO 80033 (303) 232-2848. Sweatshirts, fleece jackets and vests are an
optional part of the uniform. In order to maintain the uniformity of colors, all khaki pants and shorts
must be ordered through the Dennis Uniform Company or All Schools Uniform Store.
In addition to the above, the following guidelines must be followed when wearing the uniform:
- Uniforms must be worn clean and neat at all times.
- Shirts must always be tucked in.
- Sweatshirts worn inside the school or at any school event when the uniform is worn, must be part of the uniform.
- Shoes and socks are to be worn at all times inside the school.
- Snow boots are not to be worn in the building.
- Boys cannot wear earrings or necklaces of any type.
- Girls may wear one pair of small posted earrings; however dangling or large hoop earrings are not allowed.
- Extreme hairstyles for boys and girls are not permitted, hairstyles for boys and girls must be reasonable and appropriate.
- Boy’s hair must be cut to the collar or shorter.
- All hats are to be removed when inside the building.
- Jeans, cargo pants, corduroy, stretch, stir-ups, leggings (except when worn as part of te uniform, underskirts) or sweat pants are not allowed, as part of the uniform or at any other time in the school.
- Throughout the year, we will have special occasions when the students may wear dress clothing, students are to comply with the dress code guidelines for those days. Students not complying with the dress guidelines are required to wear the school uniform.
- Casual clothes are allowed on certain field trips and on field day. Notifications of these days will be in the weekly school newsletter or classroom bulletins.
In questionable issues regarding the uniform code, the Principal will ultimately make the decision about its appropriateness. All of the above guidelines have been set for the safety of your child/children and to create uniformity among the students.
