SNOW DAYS/STORM DAYS

In the event of a severe storm or an impending severe storm, the principal will decide whether or not it seems advisable to close the school. In the event the principal makes the decision to close the school, the local radio stations will be notified and the school calling tree will be implemented.

Parents will use their own judgement in sending children to school on stormy days. Students are excused when/if parents choose to keep children home during “bad weather” days. Parents may come for their children before regular dismissal time on stormy days. The principal is responsible for permitting pupils to leave with parents only or with another adult who has been authorized, in writing and on record, by the parent.
