SCHOOL COMMITTEE'S

School Advisory Council (Sac)

Meetings are held on an as needed basis from September to May on an on call basic. The purpose of this council is; to promote participation in the ministry of Catholic education, to develop ownership and stability for the future, to offer financial advice, to develop and defend local policy, to serve as a good public relations source, to enable the principal to spend adequate time as an educational leader, to provide parents/guardians with a voice in their children’s education and to encourage strategic planning. Committee members are appointed by the principal.

Home and School Committee

Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month from August to May at 8:15 a.m. The purpose of this committee is to promote home and school unity and oversee the volunteer programs. Monies raised from the fund raisers are used to help defray school costs. This committee does not establish or make policies for the school, but advises the principal and pastor in matters concerning the school.

The committee consists of the principal, a chairperson, co-chair, secretary, treasurer and chairpersons of the following subcommittees: alumni, Spaghetti Supper Fund Raiser, BASH, Golf Tournament, historian, hospitality, host families, hot lunch, marketing, play ground duty, room parents and yearbook.

The meetings are open to all parents. In order to get an item on the agenda, please contact the principal prior to the meeting.
