A Great Opening!!

Welcome Back to New and Continuing Students at St. Stephen's Catholic School

Our 2007 –2008 school year has officially kicked off with 122 exuberant young scholars entering our doors.

St. Stephen’s School parents, and staff are commended for a smooth start with very few glitches. A new 14 passenger bus has just arrived and our third new school bus will be arriving in the next two weeks.

Our readers and interested new families viewing this website will note that our Catholic Grade School is located between Aspen, Colorado and Grand Junction, Colorado, and serves the communities of Aspen, Basalt, El Jebel, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Silt, Rifle, Parachute, Battlement Mesa and communities west to Grand Junction.

Parents seeking a very special school for their child or children may be very interested in our school because we are family focused. We invite and include parents in our total operation, and openly recognize that our little Catholic School survives because of the total efforts of so many supporters.

As a former public school administrator and superintendent of schools in school districts in Wisconsin and Colorado, I can attest to the fact that we struggle with limited resources, but the end result of our efforts are graduates who adapt well in any high school. The confidence our young people exude makes the school with no state or federal funding well worth the financial and personal sacrifice as an outstanding investment.
