MISSION AND HISTORY

Mission Statement

In the spirit of Catholic Education, St. Stephen’s mission is to evangelize our children and families, to provide solid academics, and to prepare our children to challenge life with strong Christian faith in Jesus Christ and His Church.

School History

St. Stephen’s Catholic School was founded August 27, 1981. It began with the help of two sisters of the order of St. Joseph. We are fortunate that one of the founding sisters, Sr. George Antoinette, is still with us today. Father Joseph Leberer was pastor.. He was committed to the idea of Catholic education and equally enthusiastic about a Catholic school. A group of devoted parents, were committed to giving children an education where the primary focus should be Christ-centered, and education that is begun and sustained in the family home. Some of these founding parents have grandchildren in our school today!
