GETTING INVOLVED Family Expectations Because we are a Catholic community, active participation by all families is encouraged and expected. Parents are invited to attend weekly school mass with their children and encouraged to worship as a family on the weekend. We seek to form a partnership with our school families in an effort to foster student spiritual, emotional and academic growth. Volunteer Opportunities Volunteer opportunities are offered in many different areas with varying commitment levels required of time, talent and treasure. These include policy committees (SAC), Home and School, and its various sub-committees; B.A.S.H., Spaghetti Supper Fund Raiser, and the Golf Tournament. In addition, St. Stephen's sends home a Volunteer Opportunity Form at registration. The comprehensive listing of activities and areas that need parent input and help includes programs and fund raisers sponsored by their association in addition to other areas such as, volunteers for the library, classrooms, computer lab, lunch room, playground supervisors, alumni, historian, host families, assisting and running the Scholastic Book Fair, hot lunch, marketing, and the yearbook. Communication To build a partnership that works for parents, teachers, students and administration, communication is essential. This is accomplished through communications from the various school committees and associations, the weekly newsletters, as well as classroom activity news.
