GENERAL SAFETY/FIRE SAFETY

The school takes all precautions to protect the students. Fire drills are conducted on a regular basis. We also take the necessary precautions when we are under a severe weather warning.

Parents are encourage to visit the school. Because we are concerned about the welfare of each student, all visitors MUST sign in at the office upon arrival and MUST sign out when leaving.

St. Stephen's has a policy in place regarding the release of your child during school hours:

NO CHILD WILL BE RELEASED FROM SCHOOL WITHOUT BEING SIGNED OUT BY THE PARENT, LEGAL GUARDIAN, OR OTHER ADULT AUTHORIZED, IN WRITING, BY THE PARENT AND ON RECORD. No exception can be made for any reason. If the student is not waiting in the office, office personnel will contact the classroom to have the child sent to the office. The parent and child will leave from the office.

If the child returns to school for the rest of the day, he\she must be signed in by the parent or guardian.
