ADMISSION POLICY

All students are admitted to St. Stephen’s School on condition there is reasonable hope of them successfully completing this school’s program and subscribing to the philosophy, educational, and disciplinary guidelines of the school and Archdiocese.

Children will be accepted into St. Stephen’s kindergarten program only if the child has reached his\her fifth (5th) birthday by September 15 of the current school year. All children must also meet the criteria set by the Kindergarten teacher dealing with the readiness of the individual child for the academic program.

Children will be accepted into St. Stephen’s first grade only if the child has reached his\her sixth (6th) birthday by September 15 of the current school year.

Requirements for new families:

1. The family must have a personal interview with the principal.

2. The following forms must be completed:

Registration/Directory information
School Record Release
Tuition Agreement
Immunization Card
Parish Affiliation Card
Emergency card and complete the volunteer sign-up sheet
A copy of the child’s baptismal certificate

3. Financial Responsibility: Registration fee and tuition

Requirements For Returning Families

1. Tuition paid in full from a previous year
2. All necessary paper work completely filled out and returned to the school
3. A registration fee for the current year
4. Acceptance based on success of the previous year’s academic and behavioral expectations.

Certificate of Immunization

We comply with the Colorado Statute which holds that no child can attend school unless each child present to the school principal a valid certificate of immunization against communicable diseases or a plan for immunization as specified by the state board of health.
