7th Grade Middle School

Mrs. Kate Hatch

Homeroom Teacher

My name is Kate Hatch, and I will be the homeroom teacher for both 6th & 7th grades.

I currently hold a Bachelors of Science (BS) in Biology and Chemistry, and a Bachelors of Science Education (BSED) in Secondary education from the University of South Dakota.

This will be my second year here at St. Stephen's where I teach our middle school Math, and Science program. We have a lot of fun in middle school from dissection of pigs and frogs, where students get to explore the mammal’s bodies by laboratory exploration, to chemical explosions. I also help the students to discover the importance of Algebra! (A crazy task I know!)

I love hiking, yoga, training for my first triathlon (September 7, 2008), dancing and reading! I hope some day to travel the world and see the all of God's work in its glory.
