SECOND GRADE NEWS... WITH MRS. CARTER Welcome to a new school year! August 2008
Dear Parents and Students,
I hope this newsletter finds you all well and enjoying the end of summer. I am looking forward to being your child's teacher this year. At the bottom of my introduction is a link to click on to view the weekly schedule for your child. Please give me a call if you have and questions. At the beginning of the school year, my primary goal is to establish the organization of the classroom, the learning environment, and the feeling of community in the classroom. I also will use this time to assess and evaluate the children and their learning levels in order to meet each learner at their level. We will spend time each day whole group and small group reading, independent reading, writing, math, phonics, social studies or science and health. We also go to different specials throughout the week – PE, art, music, Spanish, computers, and the school library. I am honored to be your child's teacher and look forward to a great year!
